Fixing Your Insteon Hub Scenes Not Working – Problems & Solutions

Insteon hubs are one of the best-selling home control and automation technology in the market. From our experience, we believe their position is absolutely justified. However, you may face a few technical problems with it.

Luckily, in most cases, the problem doesn’t lie in the unit but rather in the network. Which can be fixed easily.

The same goes for your Insteon hub scenes not working. You can solve this problem all by yourself easily with a few steps. We noted down three ways below through which you can do that.

Way 1: Check All Schedules

Your Insteon hub scene may not work because of potential interference with schedules. Which will cause your hub to fail to produce the required scene at that specific time.

In order to solve the problem, you need to first examine the situation Like- you need to check if the scenes are working on a schedule, not at a specific timeframe.

This is often due to a scheduling conflict in most cases. You’ll need to examine all of your schedules to determine the source of the issue. Make sure there’s nothing else on the schedule that would cause interference with the scene.

If there is, be sure to remove it from your settings.

Way 2: Create Scene Two Modules

Many users choose to schedule several modules at the same time. However, there is a specific process for attaining this. If you don’t do so, your modules will stop running.

You must build an entire scene using just two modules. After you’re done with that, you’ll be able to schedule the scene successfully. If you want to combine more than two modules, you can also use this process. But you must remember to set the schedule after you’ve finished setting the scene with the modules.

Way 3: Troubleshooting The Connection

If none of the above steps work, there may be another problem with your device. You’ll need to start troubleshooting. To eliminate any possible cause for your hub’s failure to function properly. Make sure you check everything, from the hub itself, its settings, and the internet connection.

The weak internet connection can lead to problems with your hub a few times a day. This does not only reduce the effectiveness of the device but also makes your user experience quite annoying.

To relieve this problem, you can use WIFI extenders to strengthen your internet. We noted down the best in the market, down below-
